The first issue of SPRTS was launched June 19th 2014, at the blacktop courts in McCarren Park, Brooklyn. The event was coordinated via a FaceBook event announcing only to meet at the basketball courts from 6:30-8:00pm. The day before the event, Endless editions made an announcement in the comment section stating, “MEET AT THE BLACKTOP COURTS LOCATED ON BEDFORD & N12TH ST... CATCH ME AT THE CLUBBBBBB”
At the event some attendees played SPRTS games such as, Knockout, HORSE, and wiffleball as the majority of the crowd sat on the sidelines, ate tacos, drank warm beer, and smoked cigarettes. Later the event organizers handed out orange slices and continually swapped the Space Jams Soundtrack on their cassette deck boom-box.
